Stop feeling angry or resentful towards (someone) for an offence, flaw, or mistake.

So that’s all you have to do , stop feeling angry and all will be well, you can get on with your life instead of staying trapped in that past moment reliving it over and over again. Forgiveness is for you and you alone whether forgiving self or others. For me at this time it is not about being forgiven by others or receiving an apology, that would be a bonus ,essentially it is about a change within self. It may require just a change in perception . Could it be mischief makers in your head and no offence may have taken place.? This is taking me towards an internal dialogue on judgement which given the 10min rule will have to wait for another day .

So on this quiet day find a moment for forgiveness to let go of anger and move on.
